American Indian Bust of a Cheif Victorian Plaster
What an awesome blast from the past, This Victorian plaster bust of an Indian. These are so very hard to find today. This one is really nice & is a really good size for displaying on the mantle top or in the great room. The condition is self explanatory, all good & heavy & sound except for what you see, the chip a left eye, above left eye & on cheek, then various little flakes all visible in the photo. One of the most unique features of this bust is the remnants of the glitter decorations’ across the front of his bonnet, earrings & necklace. This was quite a brilliant sculpture in its day. If I were going to remain caretaker of this bust I would get him touched up & restore him to his original magnificence.
