Beautiful pair of vintage Fostoria candlestick holders in the Buttercup pattern. This pattern was introduced in 1941 and continued into the 1950s. They are in excellent condition with labels still attached. They measure 3 1/2 inches high and the base is 4 3/4 inches wide. Fostoria began making their glassware in Fostoria, Ohio in 1887 and in 1891 moved to Virginia. The company was known for the high quality of ware they produced. The company was in production until 1983 when they closed. The company was sold to Lancaster and they closed the factory 3 years later for good.
