Songbirds of Canada Lace Edge Decorative Plate Made in Japan
This is a small decorative porcelain china plate, with a pierced lace edge and gold trim. In the center, it is full of "the Songbirds and Flower Emblems of Canada." The plate is 5 1/4" wide, in excellent condition with no chips or cracks. It has images of the meadow lark, song sparrow, robin, bobolink, cardinal, starling, bluebird, pine warbler, and winter wren. The bird names are in English and French. It is also labeled with some of the Canadian Provinces: New Brunswick, Prince Edward Island, Newfoundland, Saskatchewan, and Manitoba. The back is marked Japan, stamped over the glaze in red.
