Hammersley & Co. England Bone China Salad Plates Black Borders Gold Flowers
This is a pair of salad plates by Hammersley of England. Hammersley apparently made many unnamed patterns, and this is one of them. The plates are white with two bands of black surrounding a white band decorated with gold flowers. There are also four bands of gold trim outlining the various sections. The edges are scalloped. The plates are 8 1/4" wide. They are in very good condition with no chips or cracks, but there are utensil marks and wear to the decoration. The backstamp is green. It reads "Bone China Hammersley & Co. Made in England."
