1930's French FerEmbal Biscuit Tin

This is a fabulous French biscuit tin designed as basket. This one is made by FerEmbal c. 1920's to 30's. The hinged lid has the charming scene of a little boy eating a sandwich where a lot of jam is falling on the ground. One dog and a chicken are watching the scene curiously, and on the other side two little chicks and their mother are eating from the jam that fell on the ground. There is still part of the original label on the lid that I did not dare to remove. The both long sides of the tin are printed in a wicker basket weave design, where a cute little mouse chews his way out of the tin. The hinges are in good working condition and the handle swings freely. The perfection of this tin is slightly reduced from one or two minor dents, little scratch on the lid and some on the handle. However, this little treasure is in very good condition for its age, is perfect for display, would bring value to your collection and it is worth to have it. The tin measures 7 3/8" by 3.5", standing 2.75" tall, and 5.5" when the handle is raised.

"Welcome to the Treasures Chest" service would apply for this item and therefore this little treasure will be send to the buyer free of transport costs.
