This is a rare fort by the early American toy maker "Bliss" out of Pawtucket, Rhode Island. It is the only Bliss fort I have ever seen that includes the original cannon. It also has five original Bliss soldiers (4 with complete stands and 1 with a broken stand. The fort is in very good condition, with some paper wear, some paper loss and some paper fading as shown in the attached pictures. Please look at the pictures carefully to get a sense of the overall condition. The inside of the fort is also lithographed, and the inside lithography is excellent.
The overall dimension of the fort are 13 inches tall X 13 inches wide X 9 inches deep.
It is so rare for a paper litho toy from the 1890s to survive in this nice condition.
