c1910 Bisque Porcelain Elephant Group by Kister Germany

Big, beautiful bisque porcelain group of a young girl riding an elephant with African attendant. Nicely colored with added gold touches. Bears the impressed mark of A.W.F. Kister of Scheibe-Alsbach in Thuringia, Germany. This mark was first used in 1905 and continued on in various forms until 1972. This piece dates to the early 20th century. Measures 10" tall by 8" wide by 4" deep. Just about mint condition. No chips, cracks, stains or repairs. Just a little wear to the added gold on the high points such as the girl's shoes or the pants buttons on the attendant.
