1800's English Brass Candlesticks INVERTED BEEHIVE
THEY WERE NOT POLISHED UP FOR SALE. THEY ARE BEING SOLD AS FOUND.
Tall Brass Antique English Candlesticks.
Circa 1800's
Victorian Candle Holders
IT IS RARE TO FIND A TRUE PAIR.
One is marked with a J on the end of the push-rod. (see photo)
This gorgeous pair of Antique 10" tall candlesticks are in the inverted beehive type pattern.
Their steel push-rods are still intact and working.
The push-rods are designed into these candlesticks so that any wax left in the sconce after burning a candlestick can be easily ejected to make way for the next wax candlestick to be put in.
Condition: Excellent
We believe that these could have been made by Jonathan Jackson. He was a silversmith and brass-smith in England in the 1800's. One of these works of art is marked with a J.
It will be hard to find a pair better than this - true quality.
