John Emes 1857 STERLING SILVER Condiment Set Cut Glass London
We are pleased to offer this stunning example of early Sterling Silver.
This listing is for a Sterling Silver Cut Glass Condiment Set.
It is hallmarked. There is a monogram on one of the covers of one of the condiment jars. There is a monogram on one side of the sterling basket. The hallmarking is: the marker's mark JE. Then there are four more marks. One is a monarch's head facing left. Another is a lion standing on three legs with one leg raised and it is facing left. The third is a "b" and the fourth can not be identified.
The basket stand weighs 1 1/2 lbs. We cannot take out the wood bottom. We believe that the basket without the wood is about 18 ozs.
Basket stands 10 1/2" tall to the top of the handle and 8" wide.

The spoon is also hallmarked by John Emes, London, 1857.
John Emes was a goldsmith and silversmith.
Sterling tops for bottles E and F are also hallmarked.
Bottle G is a replacement.
