Cut Glass Decanter Very Early 1850's MIDDLE PERIOD Original Stopper
A stunning example of very early Cut Glass. Remarkable piece. A true gem.
This piece dates from the Middle Period. Own a piece of glass history.

Cut Glass Decanter
Bottle cut into a 10 panel design
Neck cut in a very rare diamond pattern for this period.
Incredible stopper is hollow.
As with all antique glass, you will see signs of use. Bottle is in excellent condition especially something 160+ years old. This bottle has no repairs or restoration. It also has no major scratches or patches of staining. Also, the interior of the bottle is more than 98% clean and clear. The only interior haze is at the bottom-most section of the bottle and extending up only about 1/8 inch above the inside base Shows wear on the underside base where it sat on the shelf. Lip has a few very minor flicks (see photo). Stopper has a few tiny areas of roughness.
HAND BLOWN, WHEEL CUT, HAND POLISHED
Base is cut into a fully extended 16 point star. Many cuts are double mitered.
11 tall 4 1/4" wide.
