Charles F Worth Blackamoor Tribal Man Bakelite Brooch Bk Pc

Fantastic and scarce whimsical figural blackamoor brooch designed by Charles F. Worth. The piece is not signed, which is common, but is in the Warman's Costume Jewelry Figurals on page 200 and identified as a Worth design. In the book this brooch is called "Napping Native Man" . He is black enamel accentuated with goldplating and is resting on a baklelite log. (The log has tested positive for bakelite). This is a great piece for the blackamoor collector or bakelite collectors or just a very fun brooch to wear.

He measures 2" tall and is in very good condition. There is some very very minor enamel wear on the top of his knee (the size of a pin) and a very small spot of wear on his elbow. They are truly insignificant and mentioned for complete accuracy only. (Note the spots appear larger in my photos than they actually are) These pins were made in the 1950's and as such I consider the pin in very good to excellent condition.

Comes gift boxed and packaged securely for safe arrival.
