Handmade Sterling Silver Art Nouveau Pin with Amethyst
Flawlessly executed. During the 1930's a number of Americans went down to Taxco and established a silversmithing center that exists to this day. The most important of them being William Spratling. I would date this piece from the 1930's based on the design and the open C hook in the back which was usual for that time.
The pin is marked Mexico Silver and obviously a work of master craftsmanship with hand hammered adornment. Just a beautiful piece of jewelry.
