A stunning Amphora crow, art pottery vase done in Art Nouveau style, Czechoslovakia circa 1920s.
After WWI Amphora (originally founded in Austria) moved its production to Trnovany in the Czech Republic. They became well known as a fine art pottery manufacturer producing innovative designs and shapes with a high level of detail. They were considered by many to exemplify the Art Nouveau style.
Amphora produced many lovely vases however this one is a rather unusual and unique piece with the base being surrounded by three crows. It has lovely rich pinks, purples and turquoise colours.
It measures approximately 7.5 inches tall by 4 inches wide. It is in superb condition with no cracks or chips and only minor crazing (as is expected on early pieces).
Unique and tasteful this vase is the embodiment of Amphora's excellence.
