Opalescent Glass Bowl Sunflower/ Dahlia Pattern Art Deco Etling France Circa 1930s

A beautiful and scarce, Art Deco period (circa 1930's), Sunflower/ Dahlia pattern opalescent glass bowl created by esteemed glass maker, Etling.

This beautiful bowl was created in arguably the most accomplished of all glass working areas in France, in it's era, Choisy-le-Roi. It was created from a single press mold, using quality glass crystal. The exterior was pattern molded in the shape of a single sunflower after which its outer surface was satin-frosted giving it the splendid colors seen when light hits it. The interior is smooth.

The bowl is in superb condition with no ships or cracks. It shows only minor signs of wear due to age, which is not uncommon and does not detract from its splendor (please see the photos for more details).

This substantially made piece has crisply defined features and thick walls. All signs of quality. It has a width of 6.5 inches and stands 3.5 inches tall approximately.

A truly stunning piece of art by one of the most esteemed glass makers of the time, Etling.
