Topaz & Diamond Pendant With Gold Choker

The choker was purchased in the early 80's and the exceptional topaz diamond pendant was created to match it, soon after, by a South African diamond dealer for her own collection.

The enormous cushion cut topaz is approximately 50 carats. It is of beautiful gem quality with a very good saturation and deep orange/cognac colour. The stone is very clean to the eye. It is rare to find such a large gem quality topaz of such good saturation. The nine brilliant cut diamonds each approximately 0.03 of a carat (0.27 carats together) have very good clarity and colour (H-J). The pendant has been expertly set in 18 ct yellow gold (acid tested). It weighs approximately 17 grams and measures 2.5 cm wide by 3 cm tall.

The elegant 14 ct yellow gold (acid tested and marked 585) choker is a lovely piece of jewelry all by itself. It as been beautifully crafted and has a lovely pattern throughout. It weighs approximately 45 grams and measures 15cm by 12cm. The condition of the choker and the pendant is excellent with little to no signs of wear.

This exceptional pendant makes a bold statement indeed and is perfectly complemented by the beautiful thick choker (which itself wears beautifully with the pendant or can be worn by itself). My description does not do justice to this set that will quiet frankly, drop jaws!
