A superb recent Atlanta estate sale acquisition in this beautiful Victorian / Art Nouveau bronze bust of BACCHANTE or priestess of Bacchus the Wine God. Signed “MARIN” to verso with “*AD” Stamp. C. 1875
This is a wonderful rare aged solid bronze bust that has great depiction of this classical Bacchante in period attire and hair adornment. This wonderful heirloom bronze sculpture has all of the attributes of fine artistic detail and casting. The dark aged patina is simply beautiful and really makes this bust stand out. This great heirloom art piece is referenced in numerous antique and art venues as well as reference guides. Most notably perhaps is BRONZES SCULPTORS & FOUNDERS - Vol 4 by H. Berman.
This great collectible bust will demand attention regardless of where you choose to locate her.
