Samurai Sword Guard Wakizashi Inlay MOKKO EDO Period

This Edo Period Antique iron Tsuba is Wakizashi size. The Wakizashi is a medium sized sword carried by the Samurai as compared to the Katana or larger size sword and was used more for close in combat where a Katana would be too long. This is from the EDO period considered from 1603 to 1868 so is very old and collectable. This is very nice condition with inlay of a gold colored metal. This Tsuba measures 2 7/16 x 2 1/8 inches and 3/16 inch thick and weighs 3 oz. This tsuba came from Japan and is very nice. These are becoming very rare.
