Art Deco Egyptian Revival 14K Amethyst & Enamel Ring

This is a late 1920s/early '30s ring made of 14K gold. The band is white gold and the mount is yellow gold.

Central stone is a round earth-mined amethyst of appr. 8.2 mm or about 2 carats. Color is medium-to-deep, a somewhat high crown though not strictly mine-cut because the culet is closed, with a nice 'star' when looking into the stone from well-faceted cut.

Stone is set bezel-set. It is framed by arrowhead design in green and black enamel as well as stippled arrowheads, against the yellow gold ground. The collar has punched-out scroll decoraton.

The mount is slightly over 1/2 inch.

The white gold band is engraved on the shoulder. There is an attached inner ring, also of 14k gold, to fit a smaller size finger. So this ring will fit between size 5.5 to size 7.

Inside of band carries marks '14K' and a cursive-script 'Meade'. These marks is nearly covered by the reducer ring but still readable with 10x loupe.

Ring weighs 4.6 grams on digital scale.

CONDITION: There is some loss to the enameling. The green and black are all there there but it is lighter on some arrows. Not easily spotted by the naked eye but they're obvious under the loupe and in enlarged photos.
