Victorian Revival Drop Earrings 14K Amethyst

Made of 14k yellow gold that has been antiqued/patinated at crevices which typifies the 'revival' version of that time. All amethysts are genuine,earth-mined stones and of medium purple color.

Stud or upper section of earring is a flower head shape with gold bead accents. The round faceted amethyst in a multiple prong setting measure 6.3 mm or the visual equivalent of 1 carat. The stone depth was not measured.

The drop section is oval, features gold openwork frame with rope-like twist of the wires and more gold bead accents, The oval faceted amethysts measure 10 x 7.5 mm or the visual equivalent of about 3 carats. The depth again was not measured as this requires taking the stone out of its setting.

Push-back earrings is for pierced ears.

The entire earring measure 1.28 inches from top of stud to base of the oval drop. The stud section is 11mm diameter. The drop section is 14 x12 mm. Weighs 10.2 grams.

Marked 14K and tested as 14K. No maker's mark.
