Lacquer and Inlaid Abalone Album

This is such a pretty vintage, unused photo album. It is lacquered on both the back and the front, as you can see, and then attached with a sturdy and pretty tasseled string. It has a lovely abalone inlaid design with the word, "album" on the front. It measures about 8 1/2" by 12" and is 1" Thick.

The pages are black and ready to be used. They have a tissue overlay on each page (rice paper?). The album came with the card pictured with a name and a date on it. I think the date is 1947.

So nicely made and preserved.
