Rare English Porcelain Dessert Dishes circa 1840 17 pieces

English Porcelain Dessert Dishes circa 1840 17 pieces. These pieces were individually hand painted and gilded with beautiful flowers and berries. There are two tall compotes 4 1/4" by 8 3/4", four regular compotes 3 1/16" tall by 9 5/8", eleven plates 9 3/8" diameter. The dishes retain 96% plus gilding and are in overall fine condition with minor wear and scratches from original use. These have been boxed for over 60 years. One of the regular compotes has a hairline crack and one a small blue smudge visible in the picture of four, it may have been original to the piece. It is rare to find a dessert set this complete and in fine condition. The forms are beautifully designed and decorated. The gold sticker on one compote is a customs tag declaring that they were made prior to 1847. PLEASE NOTE THEY WILL BE SHIPPED IN TWO BOXES AND SHIPPING COST WILL BE DOUBLED AMOUNT SHOWN.
