Greg Newington has worked as a photographer/editor in Australia and The Middle East for over 38 years. He worked extensively in the field as a news photographer and photojournalist in Somalia, The Sudan, Bosnia, Cambodia, China, Laos and Vietnam. His news photography won an Australian Press Photographer of the Year award in 1988, and his photo illustrations won second and third prizes in the 2002 Nikon Australia National Press Awards. Newington was appointed to The Walkley Board In 2003 and was chairman of judges for the Walkley-Nikon Awards for Excellence in Journalism. He currently works from his gallery and studio in The Serenbe community in Georgia and in Adelaide and Sydney in Australia.
