Fantastic necklace from the late 1800's packed with sparkling, faceted garnets. The groupings reflect a floral theme, the largest of which are augmented by six pointed starburst shaped rings around the center stones. There are five ornate links whose sizes are (from center out): 1 7/8" diameter, 7/8" diameter, and 3/4" diameter. There are 18 links of 3/8" floral design, the last four of which feature pointed petals in a more star-like fashion. The closure uses a barrel shaped tab insert clasp and is quite strong. The metal is silver with gold wash, typical of the time period.
Condition is very good. The necklace center link is missing two tiny garnets, the back side of one link was repaired.
