These vintage hand painted faience chargers are decorated with bas relief figures of a reclining lady reaching out to a bouquet bearing cherub. Both feature detailed hand-painted morning glory type flowers around the edge of the plate, and a separate scene in the plate wells. One displays a water mill with mountains in the background, and the other shows a waterside castle. Faience production involves a tin-glaze over delicate buff colored earthenware pottery. Northern Italy, circa 1960s. 17" diameter with unidentified mark on back.
Condition is good with no chips, cracks or hairlines.
