Large Carved Wood Weathervane of a Cod

This 32" length very well carved Cod was found in a Woodstock, Vermont bookstore many years ago, we think it would probably date c. 1940-50, the salmon coloration is subtle yet very distinctive. There is very soft gilding on the scales, please note there is a 4 x 4" pc. on the tail fin which has been off and put back on.
