German Cast Iron Santa Christmas Tree Stand

This very fine tree stand is probably something from the last quarter of the nineteenth century, the paint is in excellent condition and it retains all three of it's original thumb screws to secure the trunk of the tree. It is a wonderful example of cast iron art and worthy of inclusion of any collection of Christmas memoribilia. It measures 9 3/4" square at the base, overall ht. to the top of Santa's cap 7 1/2".
