This very large pr. of Brass Ships Lanterns were possibly located in the bulkhead or galley, they have been professionally cleaned, polished and lacquered but not wired. If so desired the latter could be easily achieved by dropping a thin wire down the inside reflector back and bringing it up toward the burner without destroying the integrity of the oil burning mechanism. They are circa 1890 and mfgd. by Davey & Co, London. They are also accompanied by their original brass mounting brackets. Measurements are Ht. 16" (apprx.) W 8 1/2" across the back, 7 1/2" across the front, 7" D, (all measurements apprx.)
