Fostoria's clear 'Fascination' (Mold 6080) was introduced in 1958 and retired in 1982. This 4 - 3 / 4" H x 3 - 1 / 2" W size can be used as either a champagne or tall sherbet. While the wide bowl is plain, the stem is noteworthy and will draw a conversation at any table. Its long run in the marketplace confirms its lovely lines and ability to fit in with other patterns.
This same mold was used for the etched Fostoria pattern 'Carousel' (Cut 863) marketed from 1958 through 1975 and the platinum rimmed Fostoria pattern 'Trousseau' (Cut 6080) marketed 1958 - 1982. If you have either of these Fostoria patterns, the basic 'Fascination' champagne / sherbets will blend well as substitutes or additions.
I am pricing these 8 perfect stems at $50. Replacement sites are asking $8 apiece for them or $64. My policy is to price well under market to keep vintage affordable for you.
The stems are hallmarked 'Fostoria,' etched into the bottom of the base. They have the familiar ring when pinged. Whether or not you collect Fostoria, these stems will grace your table in a simple, lovely way.
