This pair of Beaded Shell mugs was made by FENTON for LG Wright in Uranium Opaque Custard Glass. Offered are a pair of mugs / cups. The Beaded Shell pattern was originally made by Northwood and Dugan; however they did not make it in custard glass.
Fenton made it for LG Wright. When Frank Fenton saw that the Northwood logo was being used, he refused to continue the production until the logo had been changed into a W by adding a short line to the N. You can faintly see the logo in these cups. The cups can be seen on page 242 and 250 of "Fenton Glass Made for Other Companies 1907-1980" by Carrie and Gerald Domitz.
They stand approximately 3 7/8" high and hold 8 oz. Due to the uranium oxide in the glass formula, they glow a lovely green under blacklight.
There are no chips, cracks, or repairs.
