Early American Pattern Glass (EAPG)
This sweet clear-glass jelly compote was made by National Glass Company at the Riverside factory in 1902. The pattern is INVERTED EYE.
It stands approximately 4 3/8" high and the ruffled rim 5" in diameter. There are no chips, cracks, or repairs. The pattern has not been reproduced.
Pictures of the pattern can be seen on page 217 of Riverside Glass Works by C.W. Gorham.
EAPG usually exhibits some of the following: straw (sheer) marks, mold lines, bubbles, imbedded ash or impurities, rough mold seams, and manufacturing variations.
As I like my customers happy and satisfied with their purchases, I welcome and encourage any questions and will gladly provide additional pictures.
