Theo Haviland Covered Oval Casserole Limoges Blank with Schleiger 160 pattern Set Parabčre 1893

Antique oval lidded casserole by Theo Haviland has a delicate floral pattern of creamy chrysanthemum flowers with lavender and tan highlights and blue-gray flowers on green stems. It appears to be a Schleiger 160 type pattern.

Gold accents are on the bowl handles, the rim and base and seem to be in good condition with very little wear. The bowl is in very good condition with one chip on the inside rim (see picture) and two very minor chips on the bowl base rim. It is marked TH HAVILAND Limoges France with 3 castle towers and Set Parabere Patent applied for all in a green underglaze. This mark was used in c.1892. Bowl is 7 3/8" wide, 11 3/4" handle to handle, and 3" tall.

The oval lid showcases the detailed florals and gilding and is in very good condition with no rim chips and a very minor chip on the handle that is barely detectable. It is marked Theo Haviland Limoges France Set Parabere patent applied for. This mark was used c.1893. The lid is 9 3/8" by 7 3/4". Total height from bowl base to lid handle is about 5".
