Black satin vintage woman's purse compact with embroidered flower.

This European purse compact is a real find. A scarce French style woman's black satin vintage compact and purse with embroidered flower on its front side. The metal compact has a hinged compartment divided into two sections by a zippered flexible purse. There is some wear to the gold-toned metal frame but the compact looks beautiful and is in good condition. The black embroidered satin cover of the compact is of the kind used in the forties and fifties, but I am not sure about the age of the purse. The purse is carried by thin black cords. The compact measures 6.7" by 4.7". It is 1.6" deep.
