Watrous Mfg. Company Art Deco Sterling Silver Cigarette Case C. 1927

An Art Deco Sterling Silver Cigarette Case by Watrous Manufacturing Co. circa 1927. This was purchased from the estate of Donald W. French (see monogram), who in his youth lived a privileged life and owned several sterling silver cigarette cases; all of them Art Deco. This one is of American origin. Watrous Mfg. Co. of Wallingford, Connecticut began producing sterling silver in the 1920"s. Today young people who don't smoke use these beautiful cases as wallets as they are thin and fit in ones pocket. This one is 5" long by 3" wide by 1/4" thick. there is a 1/8' minor ding top right if the monogram.
