For sale is a stunning custom made ring featuring a dome of sparkling Columbian emeralds set in an organic style featuring detailed golden leaves vining around a central "stamen" of emeralds. This ring dates from the mid-1950's to 1960's and is one-of-a-kind, cast ring.
A professionally certified appraisal was completed on this item for $2,550.00 and will be included in the purchase.
Each of the 43 natural emeralds are individually round faceted and prong set. They are a crisp deep green, not washed out or milky, very nice quality. Their clarity is I2, Type 3 with primary color green and secondary color blue, tone is medium to dark. Total carat weight is 2.25 carats of emerald.
There are 8 hand forged leaves that surround the center and the detail is wonderful. The leaves are done in 2 tones of gold, white and yellow. The profile on this ring is rather high, measuring approximately 13.18mm in diameter.
There is a rectangular cartouche on the underside of the dome area that is stamped 18ct, Italy for the gold content and country of origin. The total gram weight is 12.8 grams and the size is 7. Overall condition is very good.
If you need this ring sized down, you could possibly have it re-sized to a 6. If you need it smaller, I would suggest sizing beads inside the shank or have a jeweler make a ring guard to fit inside the ring for a perfect fit. Due to the cut-out designs on the side, it is not the perfect candidate for re-sizing but it can be done.
