This elegant two-piece steak carving set – the smaller of the two traditional meat carving sets made by Gorham - could grace your table or buffet for your hungry steak fans. Of course, there's nothing to say that you can't use it to carve other types of meat or cut other foods with it! Chantilly is one of the most popular patterns by Gorham, an American silver manufacturer established in 1831. The carving set has hollow handles and each is marked "Sterling Handle" which dates the set to the 1950s, early 60s. The blade and tines are marked "Stainless." The sterling is from an estate in Texas. The fork measures 8 7/8" long and the knife is 9 5/8" long. The set has never been monogrammed and shows very little wear or abuse and would be a fine addition to your sterling set.
