Offered here is a magnificent majolica teapot with affixed handle in the corn or maize pattern. Nicely modeled and glazed in clear, bright, naturalistic colors. There are no maker's marks, but as I purchased this piece in London in 1980, I would suggest that it is most likely of English make, and dates to the 1880's.
An impressive piece in beautiful condition, guaranteed old and authentic.
Dimensions: 9" height including handle, 7" diameter body, 9.25" total width including spout.
Condition: Excellent; no cracks, chips, flakes, or repairs. Overall fine crazing as typical. There is a slub or spot of glaze, from the manufacture, on one side (visible in photo 6)
