Vintage Emeraude cologne by Coty

This romantic, nostalgic fragrance was supremely popular in the 1980s when Victorian romance experience a resurgence that some of us never left! The fragrance is an oriental bouquet in the same romantic category of a soft powdery bouquet like Ombre Rose, 1881 or Tresors, except it contains green notes along with the floral and feminine powder, thus the name Emeraude for emerald.

This lovely bottle with the Art Deco style top contains the original fragrance that has not turned at all, in the clear bottle we see the emerald elixir the original golden tassel still attached. As seen, the fill line is just a little low in the 1.6 oz bottle.

Originally released in 1921 by the French fragrance manufacture, businessman and founder of the fascist league Solidarité Française, Francois Coty. Top notes are orange, bergamot and lemon; middle notes are jasmine, ylang-ylang, rose and brazilian rosewood; base notes are amber, sandalwood, patchouli, opoponax, benzoin and vanilla, the popular fragrance is still in production today.
