A scrumptious little treasure from the 19th century France, this porcelain box is all hand painted in rich Burgundy with a floral bouquet with gilt enameling. Has the typical brass shell design clasp and hinge. Inside small floral painting on white glazed porcelain.
This fine miniature box is in excellent antique condition, the sides are curved and the top lid rounded, doll size it measures approximately 2.5" across, high 1.25, the bottom 2.5".
Fabulous quality made of heavy porcelain by Porcelain de Paris, world renounced for making exceptional quality porcelains that originated in 1773, it is signed on the bottom with the crossed arrows painted under glaze in blue on the bottom exterior of the box and also Made in France.
