Korean Brass Gambling Scene Plate/Tray

This heavy solid brass decorative wall hanging plate/tray shows a group of 4 traditionally dressed Korean men gambling and playing a board game. The piece is heavy, weighing almost 3lbs. by itself. There is a play on textures between the players and the background which appears to be done by adding sand and scoring the floor to look like bricks. There is a red highlighting around the players, in the folds of their robes, and under the brims of their hats which further gives onlooker a sense of depth.

This piece was brought back from Korea and has been with us since the early 1960's. The only condition issue I can see are some spots on the smooth rim. We have not tried to clean with a solution, but have tried to rub. No luck, but we are not used to handling brass, so perhaps this is part of the natural aging process of brass.

Condition is good other than the note above!
