Southwestern, Native American, Western Chimayo Weaving

A BEAUTIFUL HANDWOVEN CHIMAYO WEAVING. These are becoming very sought after, especially the older ones. This one is done in beautiful, vivid Southwestern colors, including a wonderful accenting of turquoise. There is much history and information on Chimayo, just google "Chimayo", basically it is a historical area North of Santa Fe, it has a blending of native americans and hispanics. The resulting cultural artifacts are a blending of both cultures. I believe this weaving is from the mid-1900's. It is in very good shape, has only a few minor holes, all the fringe is intact and in good condition. This weaving is a perfect size to be used as a tabletop runner, accent on the back of a chair or even a wall-hanging. The weaving is 100% wool.

LENGTH: 29"+1 1/2" fringe, WIDTH: 15"
