Carved Amber Fish Figure
This unusual and beautiful carved amber fish measures 5" High by 1.5" Wide x 6" Deep. It is 100% amber from the Dominican Republic and is intricately hand carved from one piece of amber by a Dominican artist. This carving contains leaves and other particles captured as the pine tree resin flowed over them centuries ago. Dominican amber is around 20-million years old according to carbon dating by experts. This carved figure is from a private collection that has never been offered before. It is in perfect condition and weighs 318 grams.
