Vintage Leiber Snakeskin Purse

Offering a classic vintage Leiber taupe snakeskin purse with jeweled frame. This purse is quintessential Leiber in its design, material and style. THe purse is a large clutch or , if desired, the strap can be hidden inside and the purse can then be a shoulder bag. The skins are a gorgeous warm taupe color and the skins are soft and supple without any scales lifting. The skins have a regal shine to them. The color is rich and neutral so that it complements any outfit. The frame is goldtone and six nicely sized tiger eye and light ruby cabochons (1/4" diameter)are bezel set in the metal. A kiss clasp closes the purse. Inside there is an open pocket and a zippered pocket and there is the Judith Leiber goldtone signature plate. The snakeskin strap totals 38". There is a slightly darker trim used to separate the panels and outline the bottom of the bag. The purse is exceptionally clean and I doubt it was used much. It is perfect for today's lifestyle since its size can hold all those essentials that we carry around with us. A classic, timeless example of Leiber craftmanship. Dimensions: 10"w x 8"h x 4"d.
