Vintage Kenneth Jay Lane Purse

Offering a wonderful and rare purse from famous designer Kenneth Jay Lane. This designer, known for his creative jewelry designs, rarely designs purses. This purse clearly reflects his craftmanship, his use of high quality hardware and ornaments, his tailored styling and his detailed design. The purse and its design easily takes it from day to evening. It is rectangular in form and closes with a fold over flap. There is a simple yet detailed goldtone ornament clasp which is an almost 1" open circle with straited lines and curves. Could be one of KJL pin designs. The color is sort of a merlot red or a raspberry red and it is bold yet smart. There are 2 different straps again enabling the purse to easily go from day to night. There is a 38" strap of the same material and there is an approximately 12" deluxe chain which is interwoven matte and shiny oval links. The chain is definitely jewelry quality, being thick and heavy, and such a chain is not often seen on purses. The hardware that connects the straps to the purse and especially the hooks are jewelry quality and such quality is rarely seen in purses.(See pictures) There are 2 main compartments on the inside which is lined with the Kenneth Jay Lane fabric. There is a goldtone Kenneth Jay Lane nameplate as well as a small open pocket. This purse is clean inside and outside and looks as though it was rarely used. Dimensions: 6"h x 7"w x 2"d.
