PRODUCT INFORMATION - In today's terms, this pressed glass muffineer would be called a shaker to shake out powders, like sugar or powdered sugar, salt or pepper. Muffineers were part of the Victorian tableware from 1890 to 1920. At that time, sugar and other spices were expensive, so storing and dispensing them to prevent waste was the role of this very fine muffineer. With changes in lifestyle after WWI muffineers were referred to as sugar shakers.

PRODUCT DETAILS - This Muffineer Sugar Shaker with Brass Dome Top has the following approximate measurements:

Construction: Glass with brass top. Weight: 8 oz. Opening: 1-1/8" diameter. Base: 2-1/8" diameter. Height: 5-1/2".
