PRODUCT INFORMATION – John Maddock was an English potter and operated the Newcastle Street Pottery at Burslem in the Staffordshire district in England in 1842-1855. Formerly Maddock & Seddon, 1839-1842, it subsequently became John Maddock & Sons,Ltd. in 1855. The name Maddock or John Maddock & Sons occurs in printed marks of various designs. "Ltd." added to marks after 1896. The Bombay pattern was very popular in England and the United States.
