The Perishers: 10th Crackerjack Collection: 1971

To anyone familiar with the Perishers, these books are treasures to be read again and again.

I suppose The Perishers, published originally daily in the Daily Mirror, were conceived as a British version of Peanuts. The children seem to live in a world of their own. They have a philosophical and often gloomy figure in Wellington, who owns the Old English Sheepdog type dog, Boot. They have Maisie, the terror of all the boys, and Baby Grumpling, who never grows up, but seems to be the wisest of them all. Add the irredeemably stupid Marlon and a host of minor characters and you have an entertaining mix.

This copy has browned with age. but is otherwise in excellent condition. Please take a look at all the full-size pictures.
