The text was selected from the Oxford Book of Ballads, and the lovely woodcuts are by Douglas Percy Bliss. Printed at the Westminster Press.
It contains such favourites as The Wife or Usher's Well, Thomas the Rhymer, Lord Randal, The Twa Corbies and the creepy Lyke-Wake Dirge.
There is some foxing at both ends but the bulk of the book is fairly free of it.
A fraction under 10" by 6"; 111pp including the Glossary.
