A Nineteenth Century pewter inkwell, missing its ceramic insert. It still carries its original price label – one shilling and sixpence! The base measures about 4.8 inches in diameter, giving it great stability in order to support the quill pens which would have been stored in the five holes around the well.
I have left this unpolished because that is how some collectors like their pewter, but it would polish to a beautiful silvery sheen. An excellent addition to your pewter collection, or the perfect accessory for the executive desk.
