Vintage Elegant Mexico Mexican Sterling Silver Repousse Puffy Dome Earrings

Marvelous vintage repousse (puffy) round sterling silver earrings, measuring just over 1" in diameter. Timeless, beautifully hand wrought pieces using a difficult technique. They puff out from the back 1/4"+. The fronts appear to have been buffed, as the backs have their patina intact (which would be hard to do with polish). I see no dents or dings. These are signed 'Sterling Mexico 925' with what looks like ML62 without a dash, and what also looks like a worn eagle mark. These could date possibly to the mid 70's when the new alpha-numeric assay system was transitioning. The screw back mechanism is marked 'Alpaca'--alpaca rather than sterling was not infrequently used for the fasteners. These elegant sterling earrings are in excellent vintage condition--true beauties.
