Vtg LOS BALLESTEROS Mexico Mexican Sterling Silver Greek Key Abalone Earrings

Masterfully hand crafted, convex Greek key design sterling inlaid abalone earrings by the famed Los Ballesteros. Glorious colors of the sunrise or sunset in the abalone. The beauty of abalone, and the organic nature of it, was very much appreciated by the Mexicans working during the Renaissance of silversmithing.

They measure 15/16" long by 5/8" wide and weigh 5.6 grams. They are signed with the fancy double B's under the screw back, which you can just make it out. It also says 'Talleres (shop) of Los Ballesteros' in the circle around the B's, but I cannot read the rest. There also appears to be a worn Eagle mark. These LOVELY, beautifully hand wrought earrings are in excellent vintage condition.
